Our vision is to “love, learn, flourish”, based on Paul’s teaching “Let all that you do be done in love,” to ensure all are nurtured as individuals to shine brightly with confidence to be the best version of themselves and to develop skills and responsibilities for life.

Here at St Peter's Church of England First School we are a small, but ambitious school located in beautiful West Somerset. We cater for children aged 4-9 years; there are five classes and each class is assigned a class teacher responsible for the education and pastoral needs of the child for one year. 

We are very proud of our school and are delighted to welcome visitors. If you visit us, you will notice the calm, purposeful learning in every area of the school. We have a wide ranging curriculum which fully promotes a well-rounded approach and ensures children have access to a wide variety of topics and curriculum areas. 

At St Peter's Church of England First School we seek to help children achieve their full potential. We are fortunate to have a hardworking and dedicated team of staff who hold high shared expectations for all of the children we teach. We encourage a love of learning, the development of self-esteem and strive to make our curriculum fun, exciting and relevant. Above all else, we value Christian love and aim to model that love in thought, word and deed. Our mission is to place the child at the centre of our thinking and in so doing, we aim for our children to flourish in the development of good character and high academic standards. 

We have five values which we focus on throughout the school year: respect, kindness, responsibility, perseverance, courage and this is all done in love. These are reflected on throughout the day and during collective acts of worship.
