How to get in touch with school staff

Thankfully, disputes between parents and schools don't come up often, but if you do have an issue or concern that relates to your child, then you shouldn't hesitate to approach the school directly. The first point of contact is your child's class teacher.

You can do this by:

- speaking with the teacher face-to-face

- phoning school and asking to speak to your child's class teacher

- writing a message on ClassDojo

ClassDojo guidance:

It is in everybody's best interests that any issues are resolved as quickly as possible, this guidance is designed to help you handle concerns and complaints confidently.

If you have a concern or a complaint, please contact us as soon as possible.

The first point of contact will normally be with your child's teacher. If you are not happy with the way your concern of complaint has been dealt with or you feel it is too serious to discuss with teaching staff, please contact the headteacher. If you remain dissatisfied with the manner in which your concern or complaint has been addressed, you are entitled to make a formal complaint by following the Beacon Complaints Policy.
