It is important that every child reads for at least 15 minutes every night. Children need to have their reading record signed every night to prove that they have read that evening. Those children who do read and have their record signed are then entered in to the weekly reading raffle. Good luck!
Children can expect to complete a short maths task, which will follow on from the learning they have completed during the week. This year children should be able to answer confidently questions from their 2x, 5x and 10x tables.
As the children progress through the year it is expected that all children take pride in practicing their handwriting at home. English tasks will vary depending on the needs of the class. Children should expect a varied set of English tasks ranging from understanding verbs and nouns, as well as using capital letters and full stops.
Weekly spellings will be set on a Friday and Tested the following Monday.
HOMEWORK WILL ALWAYS BE DUE IN THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY!
